Refund policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

These terms cover purchases made directly through Cardboard Archive. Purchases through another marketplace follow that marketplace’s applicable order and return process.

When something is wrong with your order

Contact orders@thecardboardarchive.com as soon as you notice a problem, and within 30 calendar days after delivery, for an incorrect item, missing contents, transit damage, or a material difference from the listing. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible. Keep the item and its packaging while we review the issue.

For an order that has not arrived, contact us after the estimated delivery date and within 30 calendar days after that date. If no delivery estimate was supplied, contact us as soon as the shipment appears overdue. See our Shipping Policy.

These are our routine reporting windows, not a limit on rights you have under applicable law. Authenticity concerns are handled under our Authenticity Standards; please contact us when you discover a concern, even if more than 30 days have passed.

Collectibles and changes of mind

Cards, graded items, sealed products, books, merchandise, and other collectibles are final sale when delivered as accurately represented. We do not offer ordinary returns for a change of mind, a change in market price, disappointing randomized contents, or a difference of opinion about condition where the listing accurately described the item.

“Final sale” or “as-is” does not remove protection for an incorrect, materially misrepresented, transit-damaged, or inauthentic item, or rights provided by law.

Sealed products

Keep factory seals, shrink-wrap, grading holders, and included materials intact while reporting an issue. Opened randomized products are not eligible for a change-of-mind return. Manufacturing or collation problems discovered inside otherwise genuine, correctly described sealed products may need to be addressed with the manufacturer; contact us for guidance.

Opening a product does not automatically dismiss a credible authenticity concern or override your statutory rights. Do not alter an item further once you suspect a problem.

Before sending a return

Contact us and receive return authorization and the correct return address before shipping. We will confirm the items to return, packing instructions, any applicable shipping deadline, and who covers postage. Do not send returns to an address found elsewhere without confirmation.

For a confirmed incorrect, materially misrepresented, transit-damaged, or inauthentic item, Cardboard Archive covers reasonable return shipping using the method we authorize. We will explain any other agreed return costs before you send anything.

Return the original item in the condition received, with its included packaging, grading holder, documentation, and accessories where available. Use protective packaging and the tracked return method we agree with you. Let us know if any material was already damaged or missing.

Refunds and resolutions

We will review the issue and confirm the resolution with you. Depending on the circumstances, this may be a return and refund, an agreed replacement, or an agreed partial refund. A replacement is subject to availability; a partial refund or store credit is not a substitute for a refund you are entitled to unless you agree.

Approved return refunds are processed to the original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected. Refunds include the applicable tax on refunded items. For a confirmed order error, transit damage, or authenticity problem, the refund also includes the original shipping charge attributable to the affected items. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the credit.

We will confirm when the refund has been issued. If it has not appeared within the timing provided by your payment provider, contact us so we can help trace it. Cancellation refunds for unshipped orders follow our Shipping Policy.

Selling a collection to us

This customer-order policy is separate from selling a collection to Cardboard Archive. Seller assessment, payment, and return-shipping arrangements are agreed before shipment. See packing and shipping your collection and our seller guidance.
