Authenticity

Every collectible offered by Cardboard Archive is reviewed for authenticity before it is listed for sale.

Depending on the item, our evaluation may consider manufacturing characteristics, printing and materials, packaging, known identifiers, provenance, and third-party certification where applicable.

We do not knowingly buy or sell counterfeit, reproduction, altered, or otherwise inauthentic items as genuine.

If an item is a reproduction, proxy, reprint, restoration, or otherwise differs materially from an original example, that distinction will be clearly disclosed in the listing.

Items encapsulated by third-party grading companies are identified by the grading company and certification information shown in the listing.

Grades and designations assigned by PSA, Beckett, CGC, or another third-party grading service are the opinions and determinations of those companies and are not independently assigned by Cardboard Archive.

Vintage packaging and sealed products are evaluated based on the item as presented and the characteristics reasonably available for inspection.

Age-related wear, manufacturing variation, or deterioration does not by itself indicate that an item is inauthentic.

If you believe an item purchased directly from Cardboard Archive may not be authentic, email orders@thecardboardarchive.com with your order information and the basis for your concern. The routine 30-day order-problem reporting window does not prevent a later authenticity concern or limit your statutory rights.

We may request photographs, documentation, third-party findings, or return of the item so that it can be examined.

Suspected items must be retained in the condition in which they were received and may need to be returned to Cardboard Archive before a determination can be made.

If an item sold by Cardboard Archive as authentic is determined not to be authentic, we will arrange an authorized return at our expense and refund the purchase under our Refund Policy. Please wait for our instructions before returning anything.

Our authenticity guarantee applies to the original item purchased directly from Cardboard Archive. It does not cover substitution or a problem caused by changes made after delivery. Please preserve the item, packaging, and any grading holder while we review your concern; changes can make verification harder. This does not exclude an authenticity problem that was already present when the item arrived.

Our authenticity guarantee addresses whether an item sold as genuine is genuine.

It does not constitute a guarantee of future market value, investment performance, subjective condition assessment, or the grade that an item may receive if submitted or resubmitted to a third-party grading service.
